Hemp Clothing Manufacturer in India
The House of Hemp is a hemp clothing manufacturer based in Kolkata, India. We produce woven womenswear and menswear in hemp-Tencel, hemp-cotton, linen and Tencel blends, with resham hand embroidery finished in our own atelier.
We manufacture for our own label and for wholesale and private-label buyers. Everything is made in-house — we do not broker production out to third-party units.

We do not produce knitwear, caps, bags or footwear.
Our atelier
Fifteen artisans work out of our unit in Topsia, Kolkata. Machine embroidery lays the groundwork on a piece, and hand resham work finishes it. A hand-embroidered garment takes two to three days to complete before it goes for stitching.
Monthly production capacity is approximately 300 pieces. We are a small-batch manufacturer, and we would rather say that plainly than promise volume we cannot hold to a deadline.

Working with us
Most buyers start with swatches, move to a sample set, then place a first catalogue order before committing to private label. There is no obligation to follow that route, but it is the one that tends to work.
